Dr Patricia Taraborrelli

Patricia is a Senior Syncope Nurse specialist who commenced working in Syncope in 2011 alongside Dr Boon Lim. With incredible experience and intuition, she leads the nursing team, and is a warm guide to the Syncope Team and patient alike. She often accommodates junior doctors and nurses in her tilt lab, and leads on teaching tilt table test techniques to staff members from other units who are thinking of starting up their tilt services. Prior to becoming a cardiac nurse, she was a Sociologist working in the field of Health, Illness and medicine. Her PhD centred on a longitudinal, ethnographic study of familial caregivers of people with dementia.

She is actively involved as the lead nurse in our Syncope Tilt Studies.
